Our mission: Transform your supply chain into a growth gas pedal
Today, a company's success depends not only on the quality of its product or service, but also on its ability to link supply and demand efficiently and cost-effectively, while adapting to highly volatile and complex markets.
As a key success factor, industrial and distribution companies need to continually improve their supply chain management if they are to remain competitive and stand out from the competition.
An optimized supply chain is a key competitive advantage, as it has a direct impact on a company's bottom line, notably through lower costs, and on its balance sheet, through a reduction in WCR thanks tooptimized inventories.
Faced with the Supply Chain challenge of going faster for less, while guaranteeing its customers optimum service, our team can help you, thanks to its expertise in :
- Optimize process integration, linking your end customers to your suppliers
- Deploy efficient management methods to synchronize physical and information flows
- Selecting the right digital tools
- Developing employee autonomy
Relying on tried-and-tested tools and methods, our experts propose innovative solutions tailored to your company's needs.
Strategic planning - S&op (Sale and Operations Planning)
Define industrial and supply chain strategy, lead-time and inventory policy, anticipate resource/need balancing, link strategy and operations, identify and implement optimization measures.
We offer solutions for Diagnosis and Industrial and Supply Chain Master Planning. Our team relies on its training program and the Serious Game TCC (The Cool Connection) to support business transformation.
Operational planning
Implementing strategic plans requires us to plan and control flows, manage and optimize inventories, in line with constraints in the field, in order to serve our customers.
We work with companies to optimize :
- Flow and inventory management
- Optimization of the use of the MRP system in the MRP2 context, calibration of the Master Production Schedule PDP
- Implementation of Pull Flow with Kanban and DD MRP systems
- Production planning and scheduling

On the strength of several successful assignments, Axsens bte offers tools to help you transform your supply chain:
- Simulation of the impact of DD MRP on your inventory and service rates
- Training with our demand-driven institute-certified consultants
- Serious games to discover concepts in a fun way
- Methodology for deploying DD MRP principles
- Selecting the right IT systems
Demand-driven flow management: Demand Driven MRP, Adaptive S&OP
In a world in perpetual motion, Supply Chain management must continually adapt to market changes and demands, in order to optimize flow management to the maximum, while satisfying customers.
The acceleration of flows and the high variability of the supply chain call for new methods of reacting more quickly and efficiently. Planning with MRP or APS systems, developed in the 1960s, has made great progress, but has reached its limits. These methods no longer work optimally, especially against the "Bullwhip Effect" of today's complex world.
Developed by the Demand Driven Institute in the mid-2000s in the United States, the Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP) method provides an innovative response, adapted to today's world, by focusing on the flow.
Based on the management models of Lean (pulling flows), 6 sigma (reducing variability) and the theory of constraints (protecting bottlenecks), DD MRP proposes a method whose principles are to :
Positioning stocks in the right (strategic) places in the supply chain
Decouple flows to avoid transmitting variability and reduce lead times
Drawing flows from real demand
The logic of DDMRP is based on the use of intermediate stocks throughout the supply chain to maintain excellent reactivity and agility in the face of change.
These are known as buffers, and are introduced at strategic levels of the supply chain and adjusted in real time according to the volume of demand.
The implementation of DD MRP principles applies to supply, production and distribution flows.
DD MRP, a clear 5-step method
DD MRP offers tools for analyzing flows, defining management parameters and steering flows that answer 5 questions:
Where to position stocks (stocks, lead times, capacities) to secure the flow?
What level of stocks to define (security, operation, batch size, lead time, etc.)?
When to adjust parameters to take account of changes in markets, launches, etc.?
How to derive the flow from actual customer demand?
How to manage the flow using collaborative, visual and dynamic tools?
DD MRP, based on visual management tools
DD MRP methods interface perfectly with all ERP systems.
Simple applications have been developed and their operation validated by the Demand Driven Institute. DD MRP management tools provide clear visibility of situations, and enable flow managers to make priority choices.
The DD MRP method can be applied to procurement, operations and distribution planning. Companies achieve improvements in inventory levels and service rates.
Managers' working conditions improve: better communication, better understanding of problems, visibility of room for manoeuvre.
Axsens bte has mastered Demand Driven MRP since its launch in France in 2013 and is a partner of the Demand Driven Institute.
Our firm offers you simple tools to simulate the impact of DD MRP on your inventories and service rates. Using a proven methodology, our DDPP-certified consultants will help you rapidly set up a pilot.
