AXSENS bte strengthens its presence in the Lyon region - Axsens bte

As France's second-largest economic development hub, the city of Lyon was an obvious choice for AXSENS bte as part of its external growth strategy. Since 2020, the firm has welcomed Vincent Dubois, Consulting Director in management and transformation, with the aim of accelerating its business development, increasing its customer proximity and strengthening its expertise in industry 4.0, in particular by offering support in industrial performance growth.

AXSENS bte is an operational excellence consultancy with two main functions: consulting and training. Comprising some thirty consultants/trainers, all experts in their field with 10 to 25 years' experience in industrial environments, its particularity lies in the diversity of its nationalities. This melting pot makes it easy to adapt to different cultures all over the world.

AXSENS bte 's missions are based on various core areas of expertise, including Supply Chain and Purchasing, Logistics and Transport, Industrial Maturity and Supplier Development, and Industrial Methods. In addition, we offer two cross-functional areas of expertise: Quality and Continuous Improvement, and Management and Change Management.

Since its creation in 2005 by Aymeric de Valroger, AXSENS bte has gone from strength to strength thanks to a wide range of national and international assignments. It was therefore only natural that the idea of setting up in an industrial city complementary to Paris and Toulouse emerged.

It was in 2017 that the company found a great opportunity when it merged with Lyon-based consulting firm BELIER ASSOCIES.

Lyon: France's2nd industrial hub

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region accounts for 12% of national GDP, making it France's leading economic region after Ile de France, and owing much of its success to the Lyon region and its ideal geographical position in Europe. Perfectly situated at the heart of major European routes, it is less than 2 hours from the continent's major capitals (London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, etc.).

What's more, the city of Lyon and its surrounding area offer a wide range of activities and sectors, from major groups to small SMI-SME structures in the fields of traditional industry, high technology and services. The Lyon region is particularly well known for its textile, chemical, mechanical engineering, plastics, steel, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Following the 2015 territorial reform, Auvergne joined the Rhône-Alpes region, creating a new pole of attractiveness for the new Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This cluster is centered around three major areas of expertise: luxury goods, with factories of major fashion houses such as Hermès and Louis Vuitton, metalworking and tires with Michelin.

Ideally located offices in Lyon

In merging with the former BELIER ASSOCIES consultancy, AXSENS bte inherited its address, among other assets. Located in the Part-Dieu business district at 74 rue Maurice Flandin, 69003 LYON, the firm is within easy reach of the Lyon Part Dieu train station and Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport.

This geographical location enables our consultants to move around and intervene quickly, and also to easily organize inter-company training sessions with companies from all over the Lyon region.

In 2020, AXSENS bte revitalizes its Lyon office

The current crisis has prompted consulting firms to re-invigorate their activities and seek out new opportunities in new sectors and areas of expertise. Indeed, with the aeronautics sector slowing down throughout France, it was essential to diversify as quickly as possible.

"We must combine the pessimism of intelligence with the optimism of will", a maxim attributed to the philosopher Antonio Gramsci.

With this in mind, AXSENS bte has strengthened its Lyon-based team with the arrival of Vincent DUBOIS, as Consulting Director Management and Transformation. After an atypical career punctuated by engineering training, he began his career in the agri-food industry at Sodiaal Industrie in the process maintenance technical division. He then moved on to the automotive industry with Sagem and then Johnson Controls. After 16 years with Valeo, he switched to the consulting world, with a keen interest in innovation and Management. He has been involved in a number of projects, mainly on an international scale: Morocco, India, Turkey, Thailand and China.

"The arrival of Vincent Dubois in Lyon will enable us to accelerate our firm's commercial development, increase our customer proximity and strengthen our expertise in Industry 4.0 by offering support in the growth of industrial performance," says Aymeric De Valroger, Chairman of AXSENS bte.

Two major lines of development

AXSENS bte 's development strategy in the Lyon region is organized around several major axes.

Our first priority is to focus our consulting expertise on industrial methods, optimizing processes to boost competitiveness. Over the past few years, we have witnessed an acceleration in production cycles, a decline in product lifecycles, and a growing demand for product customization in all sectors of activity.

As a result, manufacturers need to optimize their processes at every stage if they are to remain competitive.

Thanks to their heritage bteour training consultants are experts in industrial methods, helping our customers to optimize their processes.

Our second priority, boosted by the current economic climate, is to develop and establish a lasting presence as a training center in the Lyon region. In this way, we are able to offer and build a range of training courses, both inter-company and intra-company, to help our customers enhance their skills in all the firm's areas of expertise.

Surround yourself with the right people for better advice

One of AXSENS bte 's major assets is its ability to surround itself with external partners with complementary expertise, giving it a 360° systemic vision of companies.

This is particularly the case with our partner Oxigen, a financial consultancy based in Lyon.

We also rely on an APN network (Axsens Professional Network). In contrast to subcontractors, APNs are more like collaborators: they are freelancers who wish to work closely with Axsens to accelerate their business development on a reciprocal basis. These APNs are people trained by AXSENS bte , with whom we interact on a very regular basis, particularly when it comes to capacity issues, skills or specific expertise. These partnerships are a real asset for AXSENS customers bte , who benefit from a wide range of professional expertise.

People at the heart of the transformation

Our consulting director, expert in management and transformation, Vincent DUBOIS, is convinced that people play an essential role in any company's continuous improvement process. In his view, it is imperative to "understand the key role played by people and teams in achieving performance", and to do this we need to "support people in an environment where the conditions for success are based on the optimism of "people", combined with operational excellence".

This human dimension is one of the reasons why our latest assignments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region have been such a success.

A few examples of assignments:

- Support for the transformation of an industrial site and the development of a new 4.0 site for a world leader in forging

- Warehouse/warehouse reorganization assignment for a railway company

- Mission to reorganize the management of all the players in an adapted company (a company employing at least 80% disabled workers), with a real human dimension.

In short, the Lyon-based firm gives AXSENS bte a real boost in its external growth strategy, thanks to rich and varied prospects for assignments within a wide range of companies and sectors. Our ambition is to grow the Lyon team over the next few years. At present, our consultants/trainers support you from three locations in France: Toulouse, Lyon and Paris, but our assignments can be carried out anywhere in the world.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to find out more about our Lyon offices or about AXSENS bte.
